Shiatsu therapy
What is Shiatsu therapy?
Shiatsu therapy is a form of treatment that focuses not only on relaxation but, above all, on addressing complaints. Unlike a relaxation massage, Shiatsu therapy aims to restore balance in the body, so that complaints diminish or disappear. This is based on a holistic vision, in which body and mind are interconnected.

Shiatsu therapy effect
The effectiveness of Shiatsu therapy is based on principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Prior to the treatment, an intake interview takes place. During this interview, your complaints and overall health are assessed. Additionally, a diagnosis is made using TCM methods, such as feeling the pulse, examining the tongue, and palpating the abdomen. Based on this, a personalized treatment plan is drawn up.
How does a Shiatsu therapy treatment proceed?
After the intake, the Shiatsu massage begins, using targeted pressure and techniques applied to the body. The focus is on restoring energy balance and supporting the body's self-healing capacity. A course of Shiatsu therapy usually consists of 2 to 6 treatments, with an interval of 2 to 3 weeks. This gives the body time to respond to the treatment and implement changes.
